If it's been a few years, we may recommend a deeper cleaning — called a scaling and root planing — rather than a standard prophylaxis, depending on what we find. Dr. Deshpande will take a look first and explain exactly what's needed and why before any work begins. Whatever the situation, the focus is always on getting you caught up comfortably and without making you feel rushed or overwhelmed.
